FURZE HILL, PURSLEY

The Challenge

Radiant Control was approached by the main contractor during a full extension and renovation of this detached family home.

The project required a retrofit underfloor heating system with minimal floor build-up that could be self-levelled to accommodate a range of floor coverings throughout the property. As the system was being installed in an existing building, it also needed to deliver strong heat output despite the low-profile construction.

Our Solution

Following consultation with the builder and on-site plumber, our team selected our Screed Board – RCB. The ‘RCB’ is a low-profile, high-performance reinforced gypsum board suitable for direct fixing to the sub-floor.

As part of our ‘Retrofit’ underfloor heating range, the 18mm thick highly conductive gypsum board is pre-grooved for 12mm underfloor heating system pipe.

Once installed, the system was covered with a thin self-levelling compound, creating a smooth surface suitable for a wide variety of floor finishes throughout the home.

The control strategy implemented was the Heatmiser Neo system, enabling individual room-by-room temperature control. The addition of the Heatmiser NeoHub also provided convenient app control, allowing the homeowner to manage the heating remotely.

We make it simple

Every single project is supplied with installation guides for the designed system, and our team will be available to either come to your site if necessary or offer dedicated support by phone.
